Nathalie – French Pop Song

Nathalie - French Pop Song

Learn French with Anne and this pop song. It’s called ' Nathalie '. It’s sung by Gilbert Bécaud.

We’re going to the USSR today, to meet Gilbert, a French man falling in love for his beautiful Russian tour guide, Nathalie. That was in 1964. She has blond hair, and that will give us an opportunity to go over hair color in the companion worksheet. It’s not as straight forward as you might think. Gilbert realizes at the end of the song that she probably won’t come to Paris with him right away. Yet he hopes she’ll come later, so he can be his tour guide in return. He uses the conditional mode then, and that’s also what’s on the worksheet: play with the games and learn the conditional mode.

In the companion worksheet – 11 pages

  • translation
