Practice past participles
Practice past participles - What the past participles in French? What do they sound like?
Practice past participles
Il a appris à admirer les fleurs.
He learned to admire flowers.
Il avait appris à admirer les fleurs.
He had learned to admire flowers.
In these two sentences, the compound verbs have a helping verb – A and AVAIT – and a past participle – APPRIS. Learning what the past participle for each verb isn’t intuitive. You can see how it works here.
Today’s French task is to say the past participle for each infinitive you hear.
