faillir – to almost + verb – French verb conjugated

oysters, faillir

J’ai failli acheter des huîtres pour le 31.

FAILLIR - French verb

AUDIO below, with a French accent.

Faillir is a funny verb. First, it doesn’t have a command conjugation – that’s called a ‘verbe défectif’. Secondly, many of its conjugations aren’t used in everyday French. I will put all of the conjugations for this verb in the worksheet. However, the AUDIO file has only the ones that are used on a daily basis.
