22 irregular conjugated future tenses PDF

  • The rules are pretty straight forward: take the verb at the infinitive and add the following endings:
  • je/j’ ...... aimer -- -ai
  • tu  ........ aimer -- - as
  • elle ...... aimer -- -a
  • il .......... aimer -- -a
  • on ....... aimer -- -a
  • nous .... aimer -- -ons
  • vous ..... aimer -- -ez
  • ils ......... aimer -- -ont
  • elles ..... aimer -- -ont

In context

  • I will like Paris.  ............... J’aimerai Paris.
  • We will love Paris. ........... Nous aimerons Paris.
  • ..................................... On aimera Paris.

-RE VERBS

Verbs ending in –re, such as prendre: drop the final –e

pronoun -- Infinitive without -e -- ending

  • je/j’ -- prendr- -- -ai
  • nous -- prendr- -- -ons

  • Note: with a “when” clause in the future, French uses the future.

  • Quand j’irai à Paris, je visiterai la tour Eiffel.
  • When I go to Paris, I will visit the Eiffel Tower.

Fact: the futuRe tense in French always carries a RRRR sound (-Rai, -Ras, -Ra, -Rons, -Rez, -Ront)
